All Saints Day

All Saints Day is a big celebration in Guatemala. The days before November First, the graveyard is filled with families painting and decorating the tombs and mausoleums

The tradition is to fly kites on All Saints Day. Some say to reach up to the spirits of the dead. It's also a windy time of the year.

Recently there has been a local competition, encouraging young people to make and fly huge kites.
