Rigoberta
Menchú is a Mayan Guatemalan, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992. Her
foundation is giving a course in leadership and computing skills to eighty
students sponsored through San Lucas Toliman scholars. The course,
exclusively for students in the sponsorship program, is designed to help
empower bright students from needy families.
Additionally, four students are attending an advanced course run by the foundation. They had their first meeting in the national university in Guatemala City in April, (all expenses paid by the foundation)
