IMED Junior High School

The IMED is the oldest junior high in San Lucas. Many people think of it as the best school in the town. On registration day parents line up at 3:00 am in hopes of securing a spot for their child.

It is noted for good discipline, and being well organized. The school has a good academic record, and many of it's sports teams are champions of the Sololá area.

• About 500 students attend the school

• There are nine classrooms, 7th to 9th grade

• The school has a computer lab, library and basketball court

• Classes start at 6:40 or 7:15 am, through to 12:30 pm
